Paso Por Aqui 8x16 Pastel

“Paso Por Aqui” is the inscription the Spanish explorer Don Oñate carved into Inscription Rock at El Morro National Monument in 1605.  Since then many other explorers, both Spanish and Anglo, passed by this rock and carved their names into it to let us know they “passed by here.”  Before Onate, Ancestral Puebloans–ancestors to today’s Zuni and Acoma indians–carved petroglyphs and made pictographs in that same rock.  If you, too, “pass by here,” stop by and take the trail and see the inscriptions.
