One of the most graceful trees in the world is the Arizona sycamore. Lithe, dancer-like…Degas would have liked to have painted them. They line our creeks here near Sedona. I like to go out, especially in winter, when the trees are bare of leaves and their form is most readily seen. I always try to capture the dancer-like quality of them and also the warm, reflected light that appears on their shadowed parts.
