You've asked, and I'm answering! Due to popular demand, I've opened up several weeks this summer for plein air painting workshops in Lubec, Maine. If you'd like to study and paint with me on-location in a beautiful place, this is your opportunity!
For the workshops, I will only take up to two painters, and it is "first come, first served." I will teach half-days (four hours in the morning), and for either three or four days—your choice. Price for four days is $300/person; three days, $225. If you're just one painter, find a painting buddy to bring along so I can work with both of you!
Workshops will be based in Lubec, Maine, but I encourage you to bring your passport (or passport card or Real ID) so you can visit my studio on Campobello Island (right across the bridge and in Canada) and possibly paint there as well.
Here are the available dates (if you prefer a three-day workshop, it can fit anywhere within the date range):
- July 8-11
- July 15-17
- July 22-25
- July 29-August 1
- August 12-15
Although I welcome beginners to plein air painting, knowing a few painting fundamentals such as how to mix a color and hold a brush are necessary. And here's good news for experienced painters: Because of the low teacher-to-student ratio, you'll get a lot out of the workshop, too!
