Rousay (Halcro Family Farm) 7×24 Oil/Cold Wax (unframed)
An interesting story with this one. My ancestors, on my mother’s side, hail from the Orkney Island in northern Scotland. On a visit to Orkney and to the island of Rousay, I discovered an old farm that belonged to them. Although it dates from the 1300s, my ancestors occupied it during the 1600s. This is a view from a high road looking down at the farm on the western edge of Rousay, and over the Eynhallow Sound to Mainland.
